888 and Delaware Lottery Expand Online Gaming Partnerships

888, world-renowned online gambling operator, and Delaware Lottery have signed the extension of their ongoing iGaming deal for another two years.

The two entities’ partnership kicked off in 2013 and, under this new deal, 888 will continue to supply this US state and its gambling platform with new content and give access to a range of poker and casino titles.

Enhancing Player Experience

…will continue to allow consumers in Delaware to compete against other players in states of New Jersey and Nevada.

Delaware Lottery’s director, Vernon Kirk, said that 888 has been a valued partner since the Dleaware Lottery launched the pioneering iGaming offering through the websites of Delaware’s three casinos.

He added: “In another first, 888’s poker platform enabled the Delaware/Nevada/New Jersey Multi-State Internet Gaming Association to offer peer-to-peer poker liquidity and further enhance the player experience across all three jurisdictions.”

In Time For Record Rise

Yaniv Sherman, who is 888’s senior vice president of business development, also said that this contract extension shows how the relationship with the Delaware Lottery is strong and vouches for the quality of operator’s outstanding technology platform.

“The State of Delaware has been a pioneer in the developing US igaming market and we are delighted to further extend our partnership.”

Delaware Lottery has revealed last month that online gaming revenue in the market of this state has reached $1.1 million in May, which is the highest total for 2020.

This figure is a 261.8% annual increase from the $313,648 that the state generated in May 2019. It is also a rise from April’s $856,182.

Betgenius Deal

888 has signed another deal that formed a sportsbook content partnership, with Betgenius.

Betgenius will deliver data for the most popular sports leagues and integrate operator’s automated accumulator solution, BetBuilder.

The operator’s Guy Cohen noted that Betgenius’ flexible technology solution will enhance 888sport through high quality and wide-ranging in-play and pre-match data and content.

Sports Betting Decline

Meanwhile, Delaware Lottery has reported a massive slump in sports betting revenue for the few previous months, including March.

This is mainly because the global health crisis has put sporting events on hold, until recently, and even now most of them are still not taking part, especially those in the US.
