At this year’s EGR North America Awards, famous Chicago-based online gaming operator, Rush Street Interactive, was named “Mobile operator of the Year.”
The EGR Awards are organized every year to recognize the best companies in the iGaming sector in the whole of North America…
…and it is one of the most prestigious awards in both the online gaming and sports betting industry.
This year, the Awards were announced at a reception in Atlantic City, New Jersey.
At the awards, there was a certain number of judges that applauded RSI for being very proactive and for demonstrating market penetration and growth of their mobile audience.
The judges said that “by owning, operating and creating the technology needed to make mobile gaming seamless, Rush Street Interactive, an owner of PlaySugarHouse.com…
…has designed a company and a strategy that will undoubtedly create further growth.”
“This award is one of the most respected in the industry. We’ve taken a differentiated and innovative approach at PlaySugarHouse.com to deliver a totally unique mobile experience. The fact that we ended 2018 with a mobile penetration rate over 90% validates that our mobile strategy is working,” said Richard Schwartz, President of Rush.
RSI-owned, PlaySugarHouse.com, has gained an enormous revenue growth in the past three years since it was launched. New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement revealed that this sportsbook and online casino also broke record numbers during the month of March.
“Despite the New Jersey online casino and sportsbook market growing by a staggering 43.7% month over month, PlaySugarHouse.com still exceeded this market’s growth rate in March,” Schwartz added.
“The mobile operator of the year win, along with our record breaking financial performance in March, are testaments that our interactive teams, who deserve all the credit, are driving iGaming innovation and making us a respected leader in the emerging regulated industry in the Americas,” he continued.
“Our strategy from the start has been to be the first and the best to offer a large variety of exciting and engaging sports betting and casino experiences.”
Owned by Rush Street, PlaySugarHouse.com is a sportsbook mobile platform that is working along with Kambi’s sportsbook…
…which actually gained recognition by being named, ‘Sportsbook Platform Provider of the year.’
This combo of Rush’s in-house mobile product & iGaming platform, as well as the Kambi sports solution, makes for a winning combination as being proven in the NJ market.
At the very end of January of this year, RSI was fined by the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement for allowing underage bettors to gamble online.
The financial penalty has been issued because state law says that individuals must be 21 or above to gamble online…
…and RSI allowed around 13 individuals aged 18-20 to open s and place their bets on PlaySugarHouse.
The company received a $30k fine, which makes it the first online gambling operator in the US to be fined for such a thing.
