GVC Holdings Completes Merger with Ladbrokes Coral After Acquiring in 2018

After a successful, multi-year research with the Cambridge Health Alliance, Harvard Medical School, GVC Holdings announced a symposium on research into safer gambling at the British Academy.
The symposium will be led by the faculty from the Division of Addiction of the Cambridge Health Alliance and it will outline the scope and ambition of the research to an invited audience of academics, researchers and iGaming and gambling industry leaders.
Professors, Dr Debi LaPlante and Dr Sarah E. Nelson will tackle the range of research that is currently being explored by the Division on Addiction using anonymized player data provided by GVC. The data comes from a broad range of areas including:

There will also be a discussion led by Sarah Hanratty, CEO of the Senet Group and Paul Buck, CEO of EPIC Risk Management, Anna Hemmings, CEO of GemCare and Brigid Simmonds, Chair of the Betting and Gaming Council. This will tackle the topics of effectiveness of responsible gambling intervention messaging, the impact of operator’s responsible gaming tools as well as the ways that the industry can improve the detection of at-risk behaviors.
