PointsBet to Provide Sports Betting in the State of Michigan

PointsBet Michigan, which is a part of PointsBet Holdings Limited, has signed an exclusive deal with Lac Vieux Desert Public Enterprise and Finance Commission.

The deal will see PointsBet, who recently formed a multi-year partnership with Double Eagle Hotel and Casino, providing online and mobile sports wagering and gaming in the State of Michigan. The deal is now awaiting the necessary regulatory licenses.

Representatives from the company say that they are pleased to have reached an agreement for both online sportsbook and online casino operations with the Chippewa Tribe and they are looking forward to a long-standing partnership.

Officials from Lac Vieux Desert Public Enterprise and Finance Commission say that the Tribe is excited about ing forces with PointsBet in their quest for economic development.

James Williams, Jr., Lac Vieux Desert Tribal Chairman, stated: “The Tribe is excited to forces with PointsBet to further the Tribe’s economic development efforts and expand gaming online as allowable under Michigan /us-casinos/michigan/ and federal law. We are confident that this new opportunity will strengthen the Tribe’s self-sufficiency and self-determination efforts and provide much-needed revenue to continue to expand and enhance tribal governmental services as well as provide jobs for the LVD community.”

The two entities are in continued exclusive negotiations regarding the operation of retails sportsbook operations at the Northern Waters Casino Resort which is located on the Tribe’s reservation in Watersmeet, Michigan.
