Casino operator, Dorobet, has had their B2C gaming service license revoked by Malta Gaming Authority (MGA). This ruling came after the operator breached regulatory payments regulations.
The punishment was effective from Friday, February 21st, and this cancellation means that Dorobet is not authorized to carry out gaming operations or new players. They are also not allowed to accept any new deposits by their existing customers in Malta.
All of the operator’s players are instructed to…
…enter their s and withdraw any remaining funds they may have. The casino must help their customers withdraw their winnings and refund any money owed to them.
Specifically, MGA has found that Dorobet has breached regulation 9 (1) of the Gaming Compliance and Enforcement Regulations, paragraphs B, C and L.
In paragraph B, a failure to comply with a MGA order is outlined, whereas paragraph C speaks about licensees not complying with obligations and laws in Malta.
Paragraph L refers to not paying a fee by the licensee to the MGA. There may be an appeal by Dorobet against this ruling. This marks the second instance of cancelled licenses in Malta this month. The Daily Fantasy Football Company has their own B2C services stopped.
Silema in Malta has become the headquarters of another gaming software provider, NetGaming.
The company looks to expand their services all over Europe, having already made similar steps in Africa and CIS countries.
Pallavi Deshmukh, CEO, has said:
