US states…
The Jena Choctaw Pines Casino in Louisiana is one of the US venues experienceing serious trouble with slot machines. Last week, the operator turned off 300 out of 710 machines. Communication issues are reportedly the main cause, but no one could confirm the source of the interruptions.
Director of marketing at the Louisiana property, Keith Young, said:
“I would love to be able to say yes this is exactly what happened because we would know exactly what to do to go and fix it. Unfortunately, we still don’t have that data. Once we get that and can now attack it and frankly that’s why we are building it from the ground up because whatever it was we are going to make sure it doesn’t exist anymore.”
Another case has been reported by Encore Boston Harbor. According to the claims, some customers using the machines were welcomed with an error connected to the slot ticket system. The casino officials stated that the problem was fixed in a timely manner, but it is still not clear how many customers and machines were affected.
“We experienced a brief system failure with our slot ticket system in which we reverted to hand-paid jackpots. The problem has been resolved and we are paying all the winners. Customers have reported that some of the slot machines started coming back online around 9:30 p.m. Friday. If you were inside Boston Harbor and you experienced a slot machine failure, please us at [email protected].”
Later on, the company stated that the issue has been settled and the slots are operating normally.
Newcastle Casino in Oklahoma has also suffered from slot trouble. This past Friday, an incident occurred right after one of the casino’s customers won $8.5 million on the machine. According to Oklahoma’s Fox 25 report, Maribel Sanchez was spending some time at the casino when she hit the jackpot on a Liberty 7s slot machine. Right after she took the jackpot, the machine turned off…But Maribel took a picture of the screen…
The casino stated that the slot machine had some troubles which voided the award. Sanchez is already preparing a lawsuit regarding the issue and the casino could face serious problems…

It seems that the slot machines in the US are facing issues with how they function and manufacturers might want to consider looking into any glitches or problems with the systems.
