A multi-year deal has been signed between Kambi Group and Belgian National Lottery’s Scooore brand regarding the providing of sports betting technology.
The of the agreement say that Kambi will provide sports betting solutions across Scooore’s online and retail offering.
Scooore, which operates in over 300 retail sports betting venue in Belgium…
…was launched in 2012 and has since become one of the most eminent brands of this kind in the country.
After the public tender process, Kambi has managed to secure the supply deal with the operator.
Belgian National Lottery’s CEO Jannie Haek said that “Kambi’s accomplished record in digital retail, coupled with its flexible and scalable technology give us every confidence that this partnership will deliver engaging and enjoyable sports betting experiences for our players in both the online and on-property environments.”
Kristian Nylen, Kambi chief executive, has added:
“The lottery has ambitious plans to grow its sports betting footprint, and we look forward to helping to unlock those ambitions with the power and flexibility of the Kambi sportsbook.”
In October it was revealed that the number of sanctions issued for failures to comply with the Belgian land-based gaming sector’s laws has increased to 52 in 2019.
Figures from regulator also showed the number of outlets punished with licenses being revoked fell year-on-year.
Last month, Kambi extended its technology partnership with LeoVegas to cover all of the online gambling operator’s sportsbooks. LeoVegas’ range of sports betting brands, including BetUK and 21.co.uk, will now be powered by the brand.
This came after Kambi in July reported a slight increase in revenue for the first half of the year, despite second-quarter revenue declining 31.6% to €14.8m.
However, total profit for the first half fell 51.6% year-on-year to €1.7m.
In August, Kambi expanded its existing partnership with operator LeoVegas …
…for several more years and it will apply to the operator’s brands.
In 2016, the two entities began their cooperation as a way of powering LeoVegas’ sports betting services.
