Betfred Employs Gaming Innovation Technology's GiG Comply Solution

Gaming Innovation Group’s marketing compliance technology, GiG Comply, is becoming increasingly popular with operators, as Betfred s the growing list of these to sign up for it.

Betfred reported a loss of GBP 40.7 million in July…

…which mostly stems from the unfavorable policy of fixed-odds betting terminals, due to which costs increased dramatically as a result of write-down in value of its retail business.

Also, in the same month, the brand signed its first US sports betting deal with Iowa’s Elite Casino Resorts’ three venues. The license has been issued to them by Iowa Racing and Gaming Commission on July 10th.

At first, the company will launch retail sportsbooks at Elite’s Grand Falls Casino and Golf Resort in Larchwood. However, they will roll-out their online and mobile products state-wide gradually.

Iowa legalized its sports betting market in May this year when the Governor signed it into law.

New Zealand Online Casino

GiG has entered into a partnership with SkyCity Malta Limited regarding the launch of a New Zealand online venue that would operate under the company’s Maltese license.

Under the of the deal, GiG will provide a gambling license, technical platform, fully managed services, gaming content, front-end development, compliance and marketing.

SkyCity CEO, Graeme Stephens, commented:

“While ultimately a regulated online gaming market in New Zealand remains the preferred solution, the site launch is another step on our journey of pursuing opportunities to grow and diversify our earnings, addressing a new, fast-growing industry which is highly complementary to our land-based activities and offering customers a multi-channel gaming experience.”
