Months after being inaugurated as first gaming partner of Pittsburgh Steelers, BetMGM, the betting brand and t venture between Entain and MGM Resorts, announces the launch of Borgata Casino mobile app in Pennsylvania.
As reported, the market access partnership has been established with Rivers Casino Philadelphia. Formerly known as SugarHouse, the state’s hottest gaming destination is at the forefront of entertainment thanks to a good location and thrilling content, involving slots, tables, live dealers and of course, famous restaurants.
Borgata Casino is now part of a growing network under BetMGM who had launched its main casino brand in December last year. It also represents the second online casino in Pennsylvania, allowing the operator to fortify its position on the market and reach more players.
Another aspect of BetMGM’s integration is also the operator’s M life Rewards program, now allowing Borgata Casino players in Pennsylvania to redeem their points from gameplay at MGM Resorts properties across the US. The list includes venues such as Bellagio and MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada – the gambling capital of the world.
As earlier indicated, there are more than 150 video slots and table games at Borgata but players may also access other exceptional content such as Blackjack Pro and MGM Grand Millions.
“There are few casino brands as well-respected as Borgata,” stated BetMGM chief executive, Adam Greenblatt.
The brand is promoted by Jamie Foxx, an academy-award American actor, singer-songwriter, comedian and record producer. It currently operates in 10 states across the country, including Colorado, Indiana, Iowa, Michigan, Nevada, New Jersey, Tennessee, Virginia, West Virginia and Pennsylvania.
Back in October 2020, the sportsbook platform of MGM Resorts International extended its partnership with Scientific Games, stretching access to SG’s OpenGaming product suite for another year or two.
The studio’s Open Gaming System (OGS) is widely recognized for market-leading in-house products and third-party games, as well as player engagement tools and innovative jackpot features that boost retention.
According to the late financial report, MGM Resorts lost $1.03bn in 2020. The company’s revenue fell 60% to $5.16 billion, which is a red alert for chief executive Bill Hornuckle.
His idea of progress for the ongoing year is based on continued efforts to expand the company’s iGaming activities after opting against a firm bid for Entain.
On a related note, MGM China saw the biggest drop in revenue due to strict travel restrictions. With revenue drop of 77.4%, the Asian division contributes to the overall decline in the Macau gaming market in 2020.
At the beginning of February, the betting brand also became the official sports betting operator of NASCAR. BetMGM will collaborate with RCR on a series of marketing and activation feeds, including primary sponsorship for select races during 2021.
