Bob DeSalvio Named for President of Genting New York

Genting Group has just revealed that they appointed Bob DeSalvio as the new president of its Genting New York State venue. The decision came into effect on December 17 and DeSalvio is expected to supervise operations of both Genting New York venues including Resorts World Catskills and Resorts World Casino.

More About New President

DeSalvio is famous for wide experience in the gaming sector. He has recently been active as the Encore Boston Harbor president where he was responsible for the development, design and staffing departments. He also participated in the opening of a historical development center in Massachusetts this past June – the project worth about $2.6 billion.

During his successful career, DeSalvio has also served as president of Sands Casino Resort Bethlehem. He used to be a member of Las Vegas Sands Corporation in 2016 when Pennsylvania granted a license for the design and construction of the venue estimated at $840 million. This massive casino project was sold for $13b.

Statement

According to DeSalvio’s words, he feels very excited about the new position:

“It’s an honor to Genting, which has proven, with the success of Resorts World Casino New York City, that gaming in New York is full of untapped potential, and I am excited to be on the frontlines of the action.”

Genting officials expressed the same level of satisfaction with the new president. One of the Genting representatives, Tan Sri KT Lim observed:

“Bob DeSalvio has a proven track record creating and implementing successful marketing and growth strategies in the gaming and hospitality industries. Bob’s operational expertise combined with his unique ability to recognize industry trends and adapt to fast-evolving consumer demands will help accelerate growth at Resorts World Catskills and Resorts World Casino New York City.”

Interim Period

Meanwhile, Ryan Eller will remain to the company as the interim president. Additionally, Edward Farrell will continue to be the president of Genting Americas Inc while assisting DeSalvio with Resorts World Catskills integration. As soon as the transition period comes to an end, DeSalvio will take his position.

Genting is close to opening Resorts World Las Vegas. The official ceremony is planned for 2021 and the project will be one of the most expansive in Las Vegas history. It is estimated at $4.3 billion and Genting looks to ensure a smooth opening.
