Two English football clubs have entered into alliances with a pair of big betting names – London’s Chelsea Football Club and Huddersfield Town have found business partners in 1xBet and Paddy Power respectively.
In this way, both companies will continue their sporting expansion. For Paddy power in particular, this deal means they have become the official title partner of a team from John Smith Stadium and is their first-ever sports kit endeavor.
As for 1xBet, they are not new to the football market…
…as they’ve recently penned similar deals with Liverpool and Premier League’s most successful teams in recent history only deepens their footballing links.
Under the of their mutual agreement, the betting firm will become the club’s official betting partner for a period of three years, with the main objective being the increase of their UK and global visibility.
Chelsea’s commercial director, Chris Townsend OBE, comments on this deal:
“We are excited to welcome 1xBet to Chelsea Football Club as our new global betting partner. 1xBet are one of the most rapidly developing companies in the betting industry, and we look forward to ing them in their endeavour to increase brand awareness within the UK and around the world.”
His counterpart at Huddersfield Town, Sean Jarvis, said he is delighted to announce the new title partnership with his club and Paddy Power.
“The front-of-shirt sponsorship is very important to the club and it was vital that we stayed patient to get the right commercial deal. We did that and it’s paid huge dividends through this new relationship with one of the most modern-thinking, pro-active businesses in Paddy Power. This represents the largest shirt sponsorship deal for Huddersfield Town outside the Premier League.”
He added that Paddy Power’s team was already fantastic to work with, even at the earliest stages of their partnership. “I can’t wait to build on that working relationship as we move forward,” Jarvis said.
The betting and gambling entertainment brand will make its debut on Huddersfield’s home kits this week. The new kits will be revealed way before the new championship campaign begins in August, against Derby County.
Paddy Power’s brand marketing director, Michelle Spillane, comments:
“We are excited to announce that we are Huddersfield Town’s shirt sponsor this season, our first foray into shirt sponsorship. They’re a club which, first and foremost, value their fans and know what it means to be a football er. We’re confident this deal will bring some bite and bark to The Terriers’ season.”
1xBet has agreed to obtain Pragmatic’s live content and offer them in a “truly exclusive environment” that encomes preferred dealing styles, tailored game types and branded gaming equipment.
Elsewhere, Paddy Power Betfair has completed its rebranding and will be known as Flutter Entertainment moving forward. The operator’s shares are trading as Flutter Entertainment plc under the ticker symbol FLTR on London Stock Exchange and Euronext Dublin.
