According to the statistics, year-on-year revenue in July from the regulated Delaware online gaming market expressed improvement. Total revenue for the seven months to 31 July stands at $1.99m.
The positive figures come as surprise, even though consumers spent almost $10m less than in the same month last year. For this period, the overall player spending totaled $71.5m.
The total amount of revenue for the month was $288,675 (£239,273/€258,920)…
… which is a growth from $248,240 last year. Compared to$257,26 generated in June 2019, the lowest total of the year to date, this number also represented a significant improvement.
However, player spending went significantly down year-on-year. The amount wagered online in July of this year standing at $7.92m, compared to $17.92m in 2018. Player winnings were also down from $17.7m to $7.66m.
Delaware Park remained just out ahead in of the acquired revenue posting $114,707 in July in Delaware. This represents a decrease from $119,953 last year. Customers spent a total of $2.4m at the establishment, winning $2.3m in the process – down from a spend of $15.1m and $15.0m in winnings in the year behind.
However, Dover Downs significantly closed the gap on Delaware Park in July, with its revenue just behind on $110,230, up 62.3% from July 2018. This establishment remained the venue of choice for punters. Expressed in numbers, with players spend at $3.9m and winnings of $3.8m, compared to the $1.5m wagered and won $1.4m last year.
Harrington Raceway also saw its revenue rise…
… to $63,738, from $60,658 last year. Consumers spending went up from $1.3m to $1.6m. Compared to $1.2m last year, winnings for the month amounted to $1.5m.
The figures from January surged compared to last year’s. There was 57.9 percent year-on-year increase and an 11.2% month-on-month jump compared to December 2018. Total iGaming income was $279,541, with players placing $7.4 million in wagers.
February brought a huge setback, with only $22.152 for the whole month. An overall sports wagering revenue in the state was $1.46 million, coming from $20.4 million worth in wagers. Punters have won $18.75 million.
March brought a slight improvement…
… of $1.6 million, which is a significant improvement after difficulties from the month before. However, April’s statistics went down again, bringing only $615,772.
Nevertheless, the oscillations continued, as May brought another betterment. Revenue from Delaware’s regulated iGaming market rose to $313,648 (£247,112/€278,007) in May. Again, these figures were unexpected, as the consumers kept on spending less money on gaming activities on the internet.

The numbers go up and down all the time. They have to work on some strategy, to make the numbers go up gradually.
