Despite this downturn, the year-to-date revenue for 2025 stands at $200.3 million, slightly suring the $198.7 million recorded during the same period in 2024.

Breaking down the February 2025 revenues:

  • MGM Grand Detroit: Generated $46.4 million, a 5.9% decrease from February 2024.

Anticipated March Performance

Historically, March has been a robust month for Detroit’s casinos. Over the past three years, March revenues have been the highest each year:

  • 2022: $120.9 million
  • 2023: $117.8 million
  • 2024: $122.3 million

This trend suggests a potential rebound in the coming month, possibly attributed to improved weather conditions encouraging increased patronage.

While February 2025 presented challenges for Detroit’s casinos, the slight year-to-date revenue increase compared to 2024 and the historical strength of March offer optimism for a potential rebound in the coming months.
