DraftKings Might Be Developing Mobile Gambling App

Boston-based daily fantasy sports contest provider, DraftKings, which earlier this week New Jersey gamblers…

…and they will be able to it and use it on their mobile devices.

Although the media already started talking about this revolutionary app, DraftKings has yet to release any type of official statement regarding the matter.

Great Period for DraftKings

This US company has had a very lucrative couple of years, especially since the US Department of Justice lifted the sports betting ban back in May of 2018 and officially declared sports betting legal in all states.

DraftKings has been very persistent in its efforts to become the most dominant company in the sportsbook market in the past year…

…and also managed to outdrive its biggest competitors in the US market – FanDuel.

So, this mobile app will not only bring even more revenue to the company but will also additionally help it on the road to major success.

A Sportsbook App

The company launched back in August 2018, a DraftKings Sportsbook app in New Jersey, and in December of the same year, added to the app a casino-style blackjack game.

Since they added other games like poker, roulette, and slots, it is a completely logical next step for this daily fantasy sports contest provider to include a standalone gambling app in their portfolio. It also expanded its gambling offer….

…by partnering up with Evolution Gaming and launching live-dealer games.

A Word from the CRO

“I think DraftKings is unique in that we attract a real cross section of sports bettors and fans and now iGaming enthusiasts. We have a lot of customers that are new to iGaming and mobile casino who might have migrated from DFS to sports betting and are now checking out blackjack. And certainly we might attract some veterans of the iGaming space,” DraftKings co-founder and Chief Revenue Officer, Matt Kalish, said.

New Ventures

The company has decided to expand outside of the borders of NJ as well. Back in December of 2018, it signed a partnership with Penn National Gaming

…and by doing so have paved the way for launching its online sports betting products in West Virginia.

“We are thrilled to work with Penn National Gaming to bring our online sportsbook product to West Virginia,” Kalish added.

“We look forward to serving sports fans in the Mountain State and building on the immense success we have had in leading the New Jersey market. With over 90% of sports bettors returning to play after trying DraftKings sportsbook, we are confident we can deliver on being the best place to play for West Virginia consumers,” he continued.

A month before that, in November 2018, DraftKings launched its first physical sportsbook in Mississippi by reaching a deal with the Scarlet Pearl Casino Resort in D’Iberville.
