American daily fantasy sports contest and sports betting provider from Boston, Massachusetts, DraftKings Inc. has formally opened new office space in Las Vegas, Nevada, confirming rapid growth and expansion to other territories within the USA.
The company’s working premises in Las Vegas will accommodate 300 employees, while providing a collaborative environment with a variety of workstations, enclosed offices, conference rooms, phone booths, private lounge areas and more. DraftKings’ new office space has been customized from floor plan in Boston Headquarters, which outlines the bookmaker’s interior design.
During the last decade, DraftKings has seen prodigious growth and expansion across the United States of America, continually innovating and complementing its product offerings. The leader in Daily Fantasy Sports launched its comprehensive betting platform in several states over the last year, including Pennsylvania, Iowa, New Jersey, West Virginia, New York, Mississippi, Arkanzas, Delaware and District of Columbia.
In addition, the company became NBA’s authorized sports betting operator, while extending a long-term partnership with Sportradar, NetEnt, NFL and Major League Baseball as well. As a matter of fact, DraftKings has seen a 40 percent increase in company headcounts since October 2018, all thanks to its Boston-based team, whose working space is also pending a 20,000-square-foot expansion.
Matt Kalish, co-founder and president of DraftKings North America commented:
“From our humble origins less than a decade ago, out of a Massachusetts spare bedroom, it is both thrilling and surreal to now have Las Vegas DraftKings’ team of offices. This new space further exemplifies our continued investment in the success of our company and employees as we establish our technological prowess within one of the world’s top entertainment destinations.”
According to DraftKings press release, the new Las Vegas location will house customer care representatives, as well as other teams dedicated to fraud, casino and sportsbook trading. Human resources and IT will also be part of the new office space, as they play a central role in the company’s structure.
Moreover, the US-based digital sports entertainment and gaming group has also revealed plans to go public, as it enterered into an arrangement with SBTech and Diamond Eagle Acquisition Company.
At the beginning of the new year, DraftKings Inc. has been named the official and exclusive sports betting partner of Madison Square Garden, a multi-purpose indoor arena and home to New York Knicks, New York Rangers as well as St John’s Red Storm.
Ron Skotarczak, executive vice president and marketing relationships at the Arena, said about this arrangement:
“DraftKings has established itself as one of the most successful gaming companies in the industry and we are honored to continue our partnership with their incredible brand. We are both committed to ensuring that our customers have the best possible experience and we look forward to continuing to work closely with DraftKings on programs and promotions that benefit both of our businesses in significant and measurable ways.”
This partnership includes significant exposure on MSG Networks, promotions for daily fantasy sports and additional broadcast times on GardenVision – the Arena’s main multi-media display.
