DraftKings Fined $100,000 for Sports Betting Data Inaccuracies in New Jersey

The National Football League has signed another landmark multi-year arrangement to provide customized player experience, making DraftKings its first-ever daily fantasy sports partner. As one of the leading sports betting brands, the American technology and entertainment company from Boston will gain access to NFL branding and other exclusive sponsorship deals, including marketing of DFS products and content platforms.
Moreover, improving customer experience and leaving a stronger footprint on the sport in the United States will allow DraftKings to continue to promote NFL daily fantasy contests, which have proven to be the most popular product all around the globe.
Jason Robins, chief executive officer at the company commented:
“This is a defining moment in the industry, and we are thrilled to become the first daily fantasy sports partner to enter into a formal relationship with the NFL.
Throughout our discussions with the League, it was evident we share a common vision around the future of fan engagement, and we are excited to continue on this unique journey with the NFL as our Official Daily Fantasy Partner.”
In addition to the agreement, the National Football League and DraftKings will also collaborate on multiple content projects that include development of DFS apps, integrations across NFL media properties and other engaging offerings for fans. However, promotional rights for sports betting are excluded from the agreement, since the league selected Caesars Entertainment in January 2019 as first casino sponsor.

Since the establishment in Boston, Massachusetts in 2012, DraftKings has grown significantly as the global leader in daily fantasy sports, related contests and money-based tournaments, ranging from novice players to professionals. Now, with a base of 11 million players, the sports content provider represents one of the largest DFS operators in the country. In July 2019, the company entered into an arrangement with MLB as its authorized gaming operator.
To stay ahead of the competition, the sportsbook’s platform offers a variety of complementary game modes and real money prizes, allowing fans to earn millions of dollars in rewards during every NFL season.
Apart from unique features that deliver “the game inside the game” and take players closer to DFS sports betting than ever before, DraftKings also provide news, live game video and highlights, stats, scores and more.
Players can engage in fantasy sports wagering by playing DK Leagues, custom contests for friends or colleagues, Showdown, salary-based lineups for single-game matchups or Classic DFS – original daily fantasy sports experience that allows players to pick a team and start a multiple games session.
The operator currently runs sportsbooks in New Jersey, New York, West Virginia and Mississippi while its headquarters are still located in Boston, MA.
