Flutter Entertainment-owned FanDuel Group has become the official sports betting partner of NBA’s Detroit Pistons, further expanding its presence in the world’s most competitive basketball league.
FanDuel will be using official Pistons’ marks and logos and getting access to marketing assets such as in-arena signage and activations, television and digital advertising and TV and radio presence.
FanDuel is soon due to launch in Michigan which is going to open its regulated sports betting market in early 2021.
The brand already runs the retail betting at MotorCity Casino Hotel. Detroit Pistons will work with the casino on providing fans with giveaways, exclusive viewing parties and other experiences.
FanDuel’s Chief Marketing Officer Mike Raffensperger said:
“This new relationship will create unique approaches for us to reach Pistons fans. With the FanDuel Sportsbook at MotorCity Casino and mobile gaming offerings on the FanDuel Sportsbook app, we will together offer engaging experiences both inside and outside the arena while giving fans access to unique betting promotions and content.”
Mike Zavodsky, Pistons’ Chief Business Officer, added:
“We appreciate the partnership-minded and collaborative approach that both FanDuel and DraftKings brought to the table. We look forward to utilizing our platform to help each grow their presence within and connectivity to the Pistons and greater Detroit Metro communities.”
In early November, FanDuel expanded its casino offering in the US…
…by partnering up with Evolution.
The provider of live dealer solutions will offer their entire gaming suite to customers in the US. Their live games will be distributed from Pennsylvania studio and will complement their existing live games line-up in New Jersey.
FanDuel Group’s GM of Casino Jesse Chemptob has said that the company sees Live Casino as a key driver for continued online casino market growth in the US and FanDuel will now have access to Evolution’s entire Live Casino portfolio.
CEO Malta for Evolution added that “late last year we signed a landmark deal with Flutter Entertainment brands Paddy Power and Betfair. Now we are delighted to be working with another Flutter brand, FanDuel, in the fast-growing US market.”
