Boundaries need to be set in every sphere of life. Whether it is about love, work, or this kind of entertainment, you never have to go beyond certain limits. Gambling is a form of entertainment that can force some of us to exceed our limits. For this reason, brands around the world follow certain rules regarding responsible gaming.
March is known in the iGaming industry as Problem Gambling Awareness Month. One of the brands participating in the marking of this month is the well-known sports entertainment company FanDuel.
This New York-based brand will contribute to the event this year with its Play Well proposal. This plan will include launching brands’ ad campaigns as well as products with new themes.
Also, in of Problem Gambling Awareness Month, the National Council on Problem Gambling (NG) will receive a donation of as much as $ 100,000 from FanDuel.
Adam Warrington, Vice President of Responsible Gaming at FanDuel, commented on this move and stated:“We’re fully committed at FanDuel to developing useful tools and programs that make a difference in responsible gaming. Our new ad campaign and Craig Carton’s content aim to bring an important spotlight to our player control tools that help customers keep sports betting fun and entertaining.”
Thanks to the company’s Responsible Gaming Ambassador Carton, this initiative has been expanded. Punters around the world will see FanDuel’s Play Well slogan “Hello My Name Is Craig” which aims to help punters stop in time and not try to make up for their lost bets.
Carton has also provided plenty of educational videos that will be available to both the company’s clients and employees as well.
The ad campaign that will be launched this week is made in partnership with Boomshot and aims to show the better side of sports betting.
NG’s Executive Director, Keith Whyte, stated: “The Play Well tools offer a common-sense, non-stigmatizing approach to responsible play and problem gambling prevention. This critical initiative not only offers vital consumer protections but actively encourages customers to use these tools regularly. We applaud FanDuel Group for taking meaningful steps, during Problem Gambling Awareness Month and all year long, to promote responsible gambling and address problem gambling nationwide.”
