Flutter Entertainment Appoints Christine McCarthy and Robert Bennett to Board

Flutter Entertainment, the world’s leading online sports betting and iGaming operator, has announced the appointment of Christine M. McCarthy and Robert R. (“Dob”) Bennett to its Board of Directors. The appointments are set to take effect on July 30, 2024. McCarthy will the Audit Committee, while Bennett will serve on the Risk and Sustainability Committee.

Christine McCarthy’s Stellar Career

Christine McCarthy brings a wealth of experience from her illustrious career in the entertainment sector. Most recently, she served as a Strategic Advisor at The Walt Disney Company. McCarthy’s tenure at Disney began in 2000 when she ed as Senior Vice President and Treasurer. She held several senior leadership positions, including Senior Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, Executive Vice President of Corporate Real Estate, Alliances, and Treasurer.

McCarthy is a director at The Procter & Gamble Company, where she chairs the Audit Committee. She also serves as a director of FM Global and chairs its Finance Committee. Her extensive experience in finance and strategic roles is expected to bring significant insights to Flutter’s Board.

Robert Bennett’s Diverse Experience

Robert Bennett, Managing Director of Hilltop Investments, LLC, adds diverse expertise to the Board. Hilltop Investments is a private investment company, and Bennett’s leadership has been instrumental in its success. Previously, he served as President of Discovery Holding Company, a media and entertainment company, and as President and CEO of Liberty Media Corporation.

Bennett’s career also includes significant roles at Tele-Communications, Inc., and The Bank of New York. His extensive board experience has served as a director of several prominent companies, including HP Inc., Liberty Media, Warner Bros. Discovery, Sprint Corporation, Demand Media, Discovery Holding Company, Liberty Interactive Corporation, and Sprint Nextel Corporation.
