Pragmatic Play Donates £6,850 to the Alameda Wildlife Conservation Park

International casino operators have decided to the forces in the prevention of coronavirus effects. After 700 people died from the disease, the problem has reached a global level and the World Health Organization has already classified it as an“international public health emergency.” The virus has been discovered in several areas around the world and ongoing measures are being taken to suppress the problem.
Well-known casino corporations, Meg-Star and Melco Resorts and Entertainment, have already made significant donations to the elimination of the problem.
As reported by Meg-Star, which operates as part of the Meg-Star International Charity Association, the company has donated about MOP$10 million ($1.24 million) to the issue. For prevention purposes, the “Wuhan Coronavirus Special Fund” has been created to help anti-epidemic measures in the epicenter of the problem – Wuhan, China. The donation will be used for the procurement of necessary stuff and medical supplies. Additionally, Meg-Star looks to team up with other non-profit organizations to find a proper solution.
One of the companies which announced its readiness to the fight is Melco Entertainment. The operator revealed that it reserved $2.6 million of the cash, which will be distributed to Wuhan and its Hubei province. The donation will have the same purpose as in the Meg-Star case and will be used for medical equipment and additonal to local citizens.
Commenting on the devastating effects of coronavirus, Melco chairman and CEO, Lawrence Ho, mentioned:
“Our thoughts are with the people of Wuhan and Hubei, and all those who are impacted by the new strain of the Coronavirus. We hope this donation helps accelerate the preventive measures to contain the spread of the virus. Melco fully s the Government’s initiatives to contribute to the health and well-being of those affected in the community.”
Coronavirus issues have been recognized by worldwide governments which are ready to collaborate to reduce the extent of the problem. According to some reports, the number of affected people has reached 25,000 and there is a huge likeliness that the problem will get even bigger. International flights between China and numerous countries have been called off, and most foreign citizens evacuated from the province Hubei.
The Philippines has already taken some steps in preventing the virus from entering its territory. The president has banned China’s citizens from stepping into the country and Russia has shut down its Far Eastern border. Additionally, countries like North Korea and Mongolia have made taken steps by closing the border with China. Moreover, Malaysia and Singapore don’t grant visas to people coming from the Hubei area. The coronavirus cases have been detected in European countries including , United Kingdom, United States, and . All these countries are taking additional steps to restrict travel to and from China.
