Gaming Income in Nevada Reaches $1.08bn in January

The start of 2022 brought plenty of good news across the iGaming industry. One of the states that has ed the list of successful markets is Nevada.

The state announced that gaming income for the first month of this year reached as much as $1.08bn (in other currencies – £820.0m or 980.0m). This year’s figures were increased by as much as 41.6% compared to the previous year.

Total revenue ed – the largest percentage of revenue from slots that contributed $731.5m, which is an increase of 39.0% over the previous year. Table games contributed to a $347.3m increase in profit.

Most popular among punters in Nevada were the popular multi-denomination slots which grossed $358.1m while penny slot machines contributed $279.6m in income.

During this period, players often decided to invest their time and money in table games. Namely, blackjack was the most popular product, as evidenced by the profit of $106.0m, while the second place was taken by baccarat with $64.8m in revenue.

Sports betting income jumped to $ 67.7m for the month, up 4.6% from a previous year, with $15.2m coming from mobile betting.

Sports betting handle also increased by 71.8% compared to January last year and amounts to $1.11bn. This figure is slightly lower than the handle from December.

As expected, American football was a favorite sport among players this month as well. Compared to the previous month, the income from this sport increased by 42.9% and amounted to $ 36.6m.

Second place went to basketball with $11.3m in income, and other sports brought in $2.9m.

The Clark County region (including Las Vegas) stood out when we talk about income with $928.7m. Second place went to Washoe County with $74.3m, and third to Elko County which contributed $ 31.7m.
