GAN and FanDuel Expand Cooperation; US Reach Grows

GAN and FanDuel have a long-term relationship which they have just expanded by g a new contract. Having found the common ground with FanDuel, iGaming platform and software provider GAN…

…has spread its influence over the regulated market in the United States.

Thanks to this agreement, FanDuel is going to receive a platform from GAN, which is going to power the launch of online casino. Furthermore, the platform will provide a player management solution for online gambling in two US States – Pennsylvania and West Virginia.

Long History Together

The new agreement only builds on the existing relationship between the two brands. These two paired up in 2013 when GAN provided the platform and the related services to FanDuel for the regulated market in New Jersey.

The new contract is signed for five years and it will last between 2019 and 2024.

Two States

In West Virginia, FanDuel is cooperating with Greenbrier luxury resort…

…where land-based betting was already launched in September 2018.

In the meantime, in Pennsylvania, the company struck a deal with the Boyd Gaming-owned Valley Forge Casino and here, they will provide sports betting services. It is important to mention that GAN is already present in Pennsylvania and it supplies Parx Casino with player management services.

Licensing

In return for receiving a platform, FanDuel is going to license GAN’s US patented technology that is used for linking casinos’ on-property loyalty programmes to iGaming s. The players who are gambling online…

…will have a chance to collect loyalty points.

The intentions are to increase customer lifetime value and engagement among US casino patrons. According to GAN, this is going to boost the revenue share as well as professional services fees. Also, they pointed out that the new agreement will open new doors and create more opportunities to increase revenue.

Word of Officials

“The contract extension combined with US patent licensing represents a significant milestone in GAN’s US evolution and reinforces our view that in the heavily regulated US online gambling market, effective and compliant platforms are a component of the supply chain rather than a commodity,” GAN chief executive Dermot Smurfit said.

“GAN is therefore very well placed to capitalise on the growth in US online gambling markets in of new operator clients, new states and underlying growth momentum,” finished Smurfit.

In the meantime…

One of the first countries to regulate sports betting in the United States was Pennsylvania. And it didn’t take FanDuel a lot of time to recognize the potential this market had to offer. But besides sports betting…

…fantasy sports is another branch of gambling in Pennsylvania where FanDuel stands out. In fact, in August 2018, the company, together with DraftKings topped the charts when it came to the revenue. This wasn’t surprising considering that FanDuel is one of the biggest company which provides fantasy sports services.
