With the Global Gaming Awards just around the corner, it’s time to take a look at this year’s shortlist and see who the first 12 nominees are before the final countdown in Las Vegas kicks off on Monday, October 14th.
Since the presentation ceremony is less than one month away, receiving a nomination at this point represents an enormous success for every iGaming company in the pool. The winners in all categories will be announced at the Sands Expo Convention Center, right at the beginning of G2E Show.
The official shortlist is everyone’s favorite part of the conference and as the excitement grows, nominees slowly start to anticipate what is about to happen in the following weeks, says one of the organizers. Addedly, the judging , who reached 100 this year, did not have an easy task while casting votes, and companies who entered the draw were once again asked to provide a ing statement why they should take the award home.
Due to an increased number of judges, participants and visitors, it is clear that the Awards’ have grown in popularity since their first ceremony, back in 2014. Today, it is mostly consisted of reputable executives from the iGaming industry, who make sure that the awards are chosen by individuals with expertise and experience.
The Digital Operator category covers only online sector and these companies have been recognized as the driving source of dynamic and rapidly-evolving industry:
888 Holdings, Partypoker, DraftKings, Resorts Digital, FanDuel, Rush Street Interactive, Golden Nugget, The Stars Group, Pala Interactive and WSOP by Caesars Entertainment. This category is sponsored by NetEnt.
For the best land-based product, which is sponsored by Evolution Gaming who won the prize for Product Innovation in 2018, the nominees are Everi, Intralot, Euro Games Technology, Konami, Gameco, Newgioco Group, Inspired Entertainment, Scientific Games, Interblock and Synergy Blue. According to the judges, these companies have improved the experience of the player in 2019 the most.
The best digital product will be awarded to one of the following providers: BetContstruct, Play’n GO, BetGenius, NetEnt, EveryMatrix, SBTech, IGT, Scientific Games, Kambi or SportRadar.
In the land-based industry supplier category, the Global Gaming Awards prize will go to one of these companies: AGS, IGT, Aristocrat, Interblock, Aruze Gaming, Konami, Casino Technology, Novomatic, Everi and Scientific Games.
