GVC Holdings Overhauls Corporate Identity, Rebrands to Entain plc

iGaming brand GVC has announced to appointment of Grainne Hurst to the role of Group Corporate Affairs Director. She will the Group’s ExCo team.
This newly created position will serve for building the on the company’s ambition to lead the industry on the basis of responsible gambling and also to nurture relationships with media and external partners.
Grainne’s career encomed the position of a Director of Responsible Gambling at GVC…
…which she held since the Group’s acquisition of the Ladbrokes Coral Group in March 2017.
At the time, she led the company’s parliamentary liaison. Previously she has served as a government Special Advisor as well as in a variety of senior Communications roles in other FTSE 100 companies including Asda. She also brings corporate affairs experience from Luther Pendragon, one of the UK’s largest communication consultancies.

GVC Holdings has signed a partnership with EPIC Risk Management that will tackle gambling-related harm in the USA.
The partnership is funded by GVC Foundation US, the brand’s non-profit subsidiary for promotional gambling. Their program will cover states of New York, New Jersey, Michigan, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Nevada, Tennessee, Illinois, Iowa, Indiana and more.
7 million US adults suffer from gambling problems.
GVC Foundation US’ trustee William J. Pascrell said that by addressing athletes and other at-risk groups throughout the country, the conglomerate will aim to implement the cultural change needed for the protection of at-risk gamblers and growth of the industry as a whole.
