Kambi and Mohegan Sign Agreement For Online and On-property Sportsbook

The sports betting experience company, Kambi, has agreed a content deal with Mohegan Sun in Connecticut. Delivering the ultimate experience to this venue will include intelligent sports data services for online and on-property sportsbook, a report reads.

As a reminder, the MGE entertainment resort belongs to the most successful casino brands in the world, but it also represents one of two commercial gambling destinations owned by a couple of Native American tribes.

First-Class Reputation

The report also reveals that Kambi chose to provide its services to Mohegan due to a “…track-record of lawful and responsible delivery in the US, including the quality and flexibility of its sports wagering products, trading and risk management capabilities and unrivaled speed to market – both online and on-property.”

Of course, Mohegan Sun was established in 1996 by the Mohegan Tribe of Connecticut, earning an incredible reputation as one of America’s leading gaming and entertainment facilities. The property stretches on 3.5 million square feet in the south-eastern part of Connecticut, the state’s hot-spot for tourism and recreation.

Apart from its regular offerings, this land-based venue features Casino of the Earth and Casino of the Sky, including a poker room and several other entertainment parlors.

Equally important, Kambi has established itself as one of the major providers of sportsbooks throughout New Jersey and Pennsylvania, mostly thanks to the historic decision of US Supreme Court to legalize wagering on sports in the country.

However, since sports betting still needs to be further regulated in the Land of Steady Habits, Mohegan Sun will have to wait until the pending legislation is adopted. Nevertheless, the brand will be powered by a free-to-play sportsbook and allow its visitors to “familiarize with the products.”

Partnering With The Biggest Operators

Kambi’s latest deal with Mohegan Sun has expanded its roster of US-located customers. The list includes some of the leading names in the industry such as DraftKings, Rush Street Interactive, Greenwood Gaming and Entertainment, 888 and so on. Here’s an official statement from Kristian Nylen, chief executive at the company:

“Kambi’s strategy in the US is to partner with the biggest and best gaming operators each state has to offer. In Mohegan Sun, not only have we partnered with one of the two largest casinos in Connecticut, but also one of the leading gaming and entertainment destinations across the whole of the country.”

Aviram Alroy, VP of interactive gaming for MGE replied the following:

“Mohegan Sun’s goal is to utilise our brand and strong presence in the state and after a long vetting process, we found that Kambi was best positioned to complement that, as they’re the most sophisticated and comprehensive Sportsbook out there. That, along with a highly experienced and responsive team, placed Kambi well above the competition in the selection of a sports betting strategic partner in Connecticut.”

Kambi has recently also teamed up with Mybet to finalize its strategic partnership policy in Europe. Read more about it in our news category and don’t forget to post a comment.
