Casino gaming group from Stockholm, LeoVegas, which signed a content deal with Blueprint Gaming in May 2017, has purchased Maltese company, World of Sportsbetting, for €2.6 million. The acquisition represents an opportunity for Leo to enter the German market, since WoS holds a license to operate in Schleswig-Holstein, the country’s northernmost state.
The purchase is expected to be completed by the end of February, when LeoVegas International, the company’s subsidiary, concludes the transaction. Gustaf Hagman, the group’s CEO confirmed the purchase and stated that licenses provide additional credibility among players and operators.
