MGM Appoints Chris Kelley To Oversee Operations At Rocksino

Hard Rock Rocksino Northfield Park in Ohio has officially inaugurated Chris Kelley as future president and COO. The decision has also been confirmed by MGM Resorts International, whose acquisition of the property is expected to finalize in the first six months of 2019.

According to the official statement, Kelley will oversee daily operations at the venue, while providing it with strategic direction and leadership. Chief operating officer of regional operations at MGM, Anton Nikodemus, commented:

“We are thrilled to have the Northfield Park team ing the MGM Resorts family and look forward to Chris’ leadership and strategic vision driving the Company’s success as we expand into a new market in Ohio.”

Nikodemus also added that the company’s celebrated brand from Ohio, also known as The Buckeye State, Rocksino, has already established itself as a market leader in gaming and entertainment. Thanks to the latest appointment, the resort is looking forward to continuing its further growth in the region and beyond.

Kelley, An Experienced Growth Manager

Prior to assuming his new role at Northfield Park, Kelley will have to wait for MGM to complete the acquisition and fulfill licensing requirements. He has served as vice president and chief financial officer of the property in Detroit from 2017 and managed to improve its strategic goals in record time.

Kelley’s dedication to continuously lift guest experience and implement new enhancements is not bound to MGM Resorts, since he is also famous for other leadership positions at Viejas Resort near San Diego, as well as other respectable parlors.

The newly appointed COO holds bachelor’s degrees in Economics and Political Science from Connecticut College, but has also a master’s degree in Economics, which he received from the University of North Carolina.

Pursuant to the report, Rocksino will represent one of the most prestigious gaming and entertainment destinations in the state. It is located around 17 miles southeast of downtown Cleveland, but more importantly, it offers more than 200 live races each year.

There are more than 2,300 gaming devices around the property and it hosts live music events. Renowned musicians are frequent guests and often find themselves in the role of a hosts at banquets or other parties, including illusion acts, comedy nights, and special workshops.

MGM Ramps Up Financial Goals

During the last couple of months, the American global hospitality and entertainment conglomerate, MGM, has expanded the network of offerings and its iconic brands by striking a historic deal with MLB (Major League Baseball), NHL (National Hockey League) and The Alliance of American Football.

In August, the company announced merging with GVC Holdings but in January 2019, the board appointed former Nevada governor, Brian Sandoval, as the president of global gaming development.

The operator has also published major financial goals for 2021, including huge restructuring to maximize profitability. MGM encomes 28 hotel properties across the United States.
