NetEnt vs Microgaming Emoji Slot Battle Coming This August

Well, the world will soon get to know a whole new dimension of cool – because two absolute giants in online casino and slot gaming, NetEnt and Microgaming, will come head to head in a duel of emoji slots this August!

Yes, you read that right! Two of the biggest online casino operators are both releasing emoji-inspired games, just in time for a movie release that, in one way or another, inspired them: The Emoji Movie, coming to cinemas near you on July 27th.

Microgaming’s Emoticions is a five reel, 30-payline slot game optimized for mobile and tablet devices, as well as desktop computers. Its main feature is called, Wild Blast, and will randomly make 5 wild symbols appear on the reels, increasing your win. LOL symbols act as scatters and will initiate the Free Spin mode. There are also Wild Stickers that make chances of winning big, well, even bigger. The game will be released on August 2nd.

 

NetEnt’s Emojiplanet is brimming with emojis as well, set against a smartphone screen background (and the game is fully optimized for it, while we’re at it). The game boasts five different levels, including Bomb, Pizza, Kiss Mark, Rocket and Two Hearts, and on each one you will increase your bankroll. Each one of the featured emojis also brings a different prize to the table. The current level you’re on is indicated by an Emoji Meter. There will be random wilds and other special symbols and big cash prizes in the right amount so that players feel fully satisfied with this game, set for release on August 23rd. There are no official previews of the game yet, but there is a rather amusing trailer by NetEnt.
