New Online Casinos for Real Money

New Online Casinos

It’s difficult for me not to get a little excited when I read about new online casinos. I play blackjack two or three hours a week, and I make my living writing about the Internet betting business. Those facts add up to one thing – I spend a lot of time looking at and talking about Web-based gambling websites.

What Makes a Casino ā€œNew?ā€

So how do I define the phrase ā€œnew casino?ā€ How long does a casino have to be open in order to lose the ā€œnewā€ label? A responsible answer would probably be ā€œAs long as it takes for the site to develop a reputation, good or bad.ā€ But honestly, I think of sites that have been around for anything less than a year as still being new. It’s silly to think of a site that’s two or three years old as being new just because some sites have been in business for over a decade.

Why an entire article about new online casinos? It’s a topic that I don’t think gets talked about enough, and I couldn’t find much information with a simple Google search. In this article, I’ll talk about why you might want to a young site, why you might not want to, and how you can open a new at a relatively-new casino with confidence.

Staying up to date

If you want to stay up to date and see the latest list of new casinos we suggest you visit LCB’s page. They are top in the gambling industry for providing the most updated information, plus provide warnings if the casino is a rogue operation. Also be sure to check out the member’s and ratings to help make a more informed decision when looking for a new brand to play at.

ing a New Online Casino: Pros & Cons

I’ll start with the cons because they’re obvious and I’d like to get them out of the way.

ing a Web-based casino often means sharing personal details (including bank s or other financial data) that could make you vulnerable to identity theft or fraud. I do this all the time when I shop online – think of how many commercial sites have your debit card number or other details stored on their servers. Why do we think of casinos as different from, say, Amazon.com? It’s all about consumer confidence.

When you’re considering ing a site with ten or fifteen years’ experience in the industry, your confidence is naturally going to be pretty high. Provided you’ve done your homework and you’ve found a site with a good reputation of doing above-board business, there’s no reason to think your financial details are any less safe at your online casino than at Netflix or eBay.

But how are you supposed to feel if you’re considering making a deposit at a site that launched last month, or last week? I think this is by far the biggest ā€œdownsideā€ to ing and making a deposit at a brand-new casino site. Safety and licensure would be my biggest concerns if I were about to open an with a site less than a year old.

Another related con – if you can’t research how a casino has treated its customers in the past (because they haven’t had any), you’re starting at a big disadvantage. It means you’ll need to do more leg-work and research a site’s features and licensure on your own.

On to the pros – believe it or not, I think there are plenty. Besides the obvious appeal of the new-kid-on-the-block, I can think of a few situations in which ing a new casino makes sense.

Imagine a gambler who’s grown so completely bored of the same-old titles and features at the site he’s been a member of for eight years. Why in the world wouldn’t he consider ing a new service, provided it has different software, a different look, or something new?

If you start to think this way, it’s easy to come up with other, similar advantages to opening a player at a new gaming site. A new site could mean new promotions, a new interface, or a new type of game altogether.

New Casino Safety

I’ve already said that safety would be my biggest concern if I were ing a brand-new gaming site. I’m pretty happy with the two casinos I now play at, but it’s not out of the question that I might want to sign up for a new service, particularly if it has a decent mobile library.

How would I go about looking into a new casino’s legitimacy?

It’s a simple process, really. I would look for information on just two features of the site:

  • Ownership – It’s common for online casino operators to run multiple sites. Find out who is running the show at the new casino you’re looking into and do some research on Google and in gaming forums to read reviews on any other sites they operate. While you’re at it, look into the history of the company itself, not just their previous gaming operations. If a site’s owner has absolutely no history and doesn’t run any other gaming sites, that’s not an automatic sign that the site isn’t safe. I would proceed with a little more caution in that case.
  • Licensure – I love talking about online casino licensure in reviews because it’s often the most straightforward measure of a site’s legitimacy. Certain licensing bodies are known to be completely legitimate, while others are a huge red flag – check out this post on the subject at CasinoListings.

If a brand-new gaming site opens with a licensure from the UK or the Isle of Man, that’s about as close to a sign of legitimacy as you’re going to get. On the other side of that coin, if a brand-new casino opens with a gaming license from Belize or Costa Rica I’d probably stay far away, at least until they have a year’s worth of experience (and customer reviews) under their belts.

News of an online casino service’s premiere carries with it all kinds of promises; I always hope for a big library of diverse games collected from four or five different platforms. Or, I think, maybe they’ll have a really huge bonus with a tiny wagering requirement. Unfortunately, that’s not often the case.

If you’re thinking about g up for a player at a gaming website without much experience, you must proceed with caution, more than you would if the site had been around for years.
