It looks like the regulated online gambling market in the state of New Jersey is having yet another lucrative month…
…since the results from the month of April showed great success.
Even though the poker vertical is still spoiling the overall result, the state managed to set new records during the last month.
As per usual, the NJ Division of Gaming Enforcement, or shortly DGE, revealed the numbers regarding state revenue.
Statistics are showing that this US state managed to generate a revenue of almost $36.6 million during the whole last month…
…which is around 59% improvement in comparison to the performance of the market the same month last year.
But, on the other hand, revenue numbers are at around $2.5 million lower compared to the stats from March.
So, who is the most able for that high revenue? Well, of course, it is once again an online casino vertical.
New Jersey online gambling market has seen an amazing improvement and it increased two-thirds year-on-year to $34.9 million.
When it comes to the revenue coming from online poker, it showed a 5.3% drop to $1.67 million, close to the lowest recorded revenue of $1.56 million.
Looking at a NJ year-to-date revenue coming from online actions, it is up 52.4% to slightly over $141 million, while online casino revenue rose 57.2% to $133.8 million.
Poker, on the other hand, came to a bit less than $7.3 million, which is actually a 2.5% drop.
The Golden Nugget brand’s websites, like the Nugget’s main website, BetfairCasino, PlaySugarHouse and Churchill Downs Inc’s site BetAmerica…
…continued setting high numbers with its casino revenue in April.
The sites came to a revenue of $13.85 million during the month of April, which is about $300k less comparing to the March results.
Resorts Digital Gaming came up second last month with $7.1 million, which is down $8.5 million in comparison to the company’s March revenue…
…but also, almost twice more than the sum Resorts Digital booked in April 2018.
The Borgata casino’s sites managed to sur its March revenue of $5.44 million by reporting a revenue of $5.46 million in April.
Of that April sum, around $391k came from three poker sites operating under the Borg’s license. Caesars Interactive Entertainment NJ earned $4.6 million in April, with a market-leading $718k from poker.
The rest of the casino-only sites finished as follows: the Tropicana with $3.7 million, Hard Rock Atlantic City with $1.55 million and the Ocean Casino Resort at $308k.
