A huge breakthrough for the growing iGaming scene of Portugal as one of the largest global games distributors, Play’n GO, announce their official entry into this Western European market!
The supplier has been successfully certified for providing their entire content to Portuguese operators and consumers…
…and is merely the latest in many steps the company has taken in order to expand its presence in new markets and begin offering their high-quality games to a much wider audience.
Sweden and the Philippines. More new markets will be conquered over the course of the year.
After what has been a very successful 2018, the brand has commenced its Portugal journey via partnership with PokerStars Casino, one of the world’s largest online venues. The region’s PokerStars punters will have immediate access to a full library of Play’n GO content.
CEO, Johan Tornquvist, was pleased with his team’s latest achievement:
“We want as many people as possible to enjoy our games, and we also want our clients, both current and future, to be able to rely on us to have a presence wherever they seek to develop their operations. We are excited by this move into a new market, and we look forward to exploring more new ground in the future.”
The Supplier’s ambition to make it in this country is not at all unfounded…
…because, although practically in its infancy – the Portuguese iGaming market is only in its second full year of its existence – the market there is very much thriving and has been reporting excellent financial results.
During last year alone, the iGaming market generated income that was 24% higher than in 2017 – it amounted to €152.1 million in total, according to Serviço Regulação e Inspeção de Jogos do Turismo de Portugal.
This famous developer has a habit of making their games compliant with every market’s regulations, and the Portuguese market will specifically have a wealth of content added that will have their players rejoicing immediately, with new releases implemented as soon as they are released.
Play’n GO – which plans to offer at least 40 new games in 2019 – will introduce titles such as Rise of Olympus, Sweet Alchemy and Legacy of Egypt, among others, to players in Europe’s western-most country.
The success of the iGaming scene there is bolstered by the same outcome with land-based gambling, which reported a 3.1% rise in revenue compared to the year prior.
The biggest local operator, Casino Portugal, has gotten major reinforcement in the form of 888, which has announced the approval of gaming license in February.
