Playtech, the producer of highly innovative omni-channel games for the casino industry, has extended collaboration with Fortuna Entertainment Group, one of the biggest betting brands in Central and Eastern Europe.
The expansion of this long-term partnership will see full integration of the supplier’s IMS player management systems on FEG platforms in Croatia, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland and Romania.
To clarify, the latest agreement between the two companies is actually a continuation of the initial contract from August 2016. It also follows an extremely successful two-year period, during which both brands reported sustained growth across all verticals in Europe, primarily in regulated jurisdictions.
However, this deal will cover all brands across all markets for the next seven years.
Shimon Akad, COO at Playtech, agrees that the recently signed agreement represents an important move for the company. The next extension of the contract endorses further commitment towards bigger results, and both companies are interested in further growth.
Akad also said that the contract shows how Playtech technology sets the pace, enabling operators to spread across other markets faster than they imagined. The partnership even reflects the group’s role in presenting itself as a significant pillar of foundation and infrastructure in the industry.
CEO at Fortuna Entertainment, Per Widerstrom, comments:
“When we first partnered with Playtech, we stated our aim was to become the leading betting and gaming operator in the CEE region. Having achieved this ambition, we will continue looking to grow and build our offer further in new and existing regulated markets.
Our close partnership with Playtech will continue to be crucial in delivering on this strategy and delivering an industry leading omni-channel approach to our players.”
To point out, the provider’s continued increased FEG’s growth in both sectors over the years – land-based and online. Moreover, the company saw a 93% increase in new and existing markets, totaling over €2 billion.
More importantly, the initial contract with the Czech betting operator included only a scalable, omnichannel platform plus wallet technology. Nevertheless, the aggregator launched an online casino in February, thus becoming the first brand to go live with FEG in Central Europe.
This agreement also requires Playtech to facilitate the integration of sports betting offerings in both retail and digital divisions. The group has recently reached an arrangement with IWG as well, allowing it access to more than 100 instant win titles that will be added to the platform in the following period.

Great to hear some positive news coming from the old continent, although Playtech’s role in the industry is pretty much cemented…
