Playtech Appoints Claire Milne as the New Interim Chairman

iGaming giant Playtech Plc has confirmed the appointment of Clair Milne as Chair of the Interim Business.

She will replace Alan Jackson who decided to end his seven-year term at the company as the Chairman of the FTSE250 Technology Group and to step down from the company board.

Change in Times of Uncertainty

Milne will take on her new duties in May, from the annual general meeting…

…after the company announced in February that was working on appointing the new chair.

According to their press release, “the current travel restrictions in countries around the world had impacted its ability to carry out an effective induction programme for any external appointee to get to know the business, as well as meet senior staff and board .”

Milne has served as a non-executive director of Playtech since July 2016 and is chairman of the risk committee. As a member of the remuneration and nominations committee, will step into the role on a temporary basis.

Her annual salary was cut from GBP 290,000 to GBP 232,000 as a response to the ongoing crisis and Playtech’s decision to cue executive and non-executive pay by 20%.

According to Milne:

In March, Playtech, which recently extended its GVC Holdings that will last until 2025 and will see Playtech provide its leading services and products to all GVC brands in existing and new markets.
