The world’s largest supplier of online gaming and sports betting software from the Isle of Man, Playtech plc, has signed a new partnership in Scandinavia, enabling its market-leading content to reach new audience in the regulated Swedish market.
As part of the integration with Svenska Spel Sport & Casino, the provider is set to launch its complete portfolio of online games, including slots, tables and live dealers. Among the titles with instant access after the rollout is finalized will be Buffalo Blitz as well as numerous sequels from the popular Age of the Gods series.
According to Niklas Örtbrant, director of online casino at Svenska Spel, the newly sealed partneship with Playtech will begin immediately by importing some of the best-selling and top-performing games, while the rest of the library will be integrated partially until the end of the year. Thanks to the company’s swift expansion methods, based on speed and efficiency, the Swedish operator has managed to add its tech savvy external wallet system as well, resulting in a consistent and systematic launch.
The platform already boasts a large collection of slots, powered mostly by Swedish game studios. Among the most recognized software providers are NetEnt, Play’n GO, Quickspin, as well as Thunderkick, High 5 Games, Pariplay, Yggdrasil, BTG and Microgaming, whose porftolio went live in February this year.
After the initial launch, new innovations in the style of Quantum Blackjack and other industry-authentic products will also be added to the platform. Vice president at the casino, Jonas Nygren, has also commented the latest deal:
“We are very happy to have Playtech on-board and look forward to be offering their games to our players. We believe Playtech’s existing and portfolio has much to offer, including the Age of the Gods suite of games which already have proved popular at launch. Playtech also brings exceptional innovation within the Live segment, which allows us to expand this important category for our players.”

The company’s latest agreement is also in line with recent extensions in other jurisdictions, as Playtech teamed up with Stoiximan/Betano and PokerStars in the last couple of days. Prior to completing these landmark deals, the group has also launched a digital sportsbook with Mansion, an international brand and leading provider in the online gaming sector.
As stated by Shimon Akad, chief operating officer at the Isle of Man-based software business concern, this is a key new partnership for Playtech.
“Svenska Spel Sport & Casino are the Swedish market’s leading operator, and with Playtech providing content across both online Casino and a burgeoning area such as Live Casino, it will provide a compelling offer to its customers. It also serves as a perfect example of Playtech partnering with industry leaders in regulated markets to expand and underpin new and innovate offerings,” concluded Akad.
