Playtech to Launch New Jersey Online Casino With bet365 and Hard Rock Atlantic City

Playtech, iGaming solutions giant and provider of online casino games, has confirmed that they have secured the regulatory approval from New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement to launch the online casino in this jurisdiction.

They have acquired a transactional waiver to roll out their solutions with bet365 and Hard Rock Atlantic City. The company says it expects to launch with additional partners on this market in the future.

Business Milestone

Mor Weizer, Playtech’s CEO, has said that New Jersey approval is a major milestone for their business:

“We are delighted to have met the stringent regulatory requirements of the NJDGE and to be launching in New Jersey with our long-standing strategic partner bet365. The US is a highly strategic market for Playtech and we see significant demand for the full breadth of our product offering.”

He added that the company intends to expand on the initial launch of online casino solutions in New Jersey by launching sports platform and live dealer games. These will all be launched in the rest of the USA, after the necessary licensing has taken place.

The process, the company says, has already began.

“This is the first step for Playtech in the US and we are very excited about the long-term opportunity,” added Wizer.

PTES Course of Action

Playtech has recently apologized for their PT Entertainment Services subsidiary failings

…which resulted in a tragic outcome. A customer, who has signed up for the in December 2016, spent GBP 4.5 million on Winner and Titanbet and lost GBP 119.395 between April 1-7th 2017 and committed suicide.

The business has failed in social responsibility, as was established by the United Kingdom Gambling Commission investigation.

Playtech’s representatives said they take the full responsibility:

“In recent years, we have invested significantly to seek to ensure that these types of breaches do not happen again, including addressing the specific issues raised by the Commission.”
