Prepare Yourself for Vegas‘ NYE and Enjoy Fremont Street Performance

The Fremont Street Experience is a well-known Vegas district located in the heart of the city. If you visit the place during New Year’s Eve, you will have the opportunity to see the Viva Vision canopy opening together with magical lights and festivals all around the place.

Viva Vision Canopy

Las Vegas becomes richer for one more exclusive site – Viva Vision canopy. The complex represents a 1,500-foot-long and 130 square feet of entire space video display, as one of the largest on the world level. It stretches over Fremont and has been under reconstruction over the previous months. After the city has invested more than $30 million in the project, the New Year will come with the opening of this magnificent site.

The canopy relaunch comes as part of the 25th anniversary of the famous addition. On this occasion, the canopy will contain 50 million LED lights, making it 7x brighter and 4x sharper. Thanks to all these features, Las Vegas shows will be organized even during the sunny days.

Canopy construction has been in the hands of Watchfire Signs out of Illinois. The firm developed digital screens while using 1054 subframes that include 64 modules each. All pieces of subframes have been placed in a proper order, which allows the screen to work perfectly. Additionally, the company has created a time-lapse video, enabling customers to watch the canopy coming to life.

Statement

Following the expected opening of the canopy, Watchfire president and CEO, Steve Harriott, revealed:

“We had to get very creative to develop a unique product that met all the distinctive needs for Fremont Street, including trimmable modules that fit the canopy’s shape and can handle the extreme desert conditions. Interest in this product has been very high and we’re looking forward to using it for other projects.”

Final Word

Las Vegas is going to take additional steps all over the city. Vegas officials plan to include a subterranean transportation system which still stands on the paper. Another project in Vegas is Circa Resort and Casino, created by Derek Stevens. The project value is estimated at $1 billion and we expect a big opening during the next year. Upon completion of the complex, Circa Resort and Casino will become one of a kind project in Vegas territory.
