Game developer, Red Tiger, is releasing Piggy Riches Megaways, a long-awaited update to a NetEnt Classic.
The classic game from the behemoth provider featured a lighthearted rich pigs theme, extra spins, and multipliers.
Now…
…the online slot is getting updated with the Megaways feature. This innovative reel expansion system was brought to the igaming world by Big Time Gaming but has since been licensed by many other software providers.
This reel structure feature centers around varying the reel height on every spin. This means the actual number of ways to win varies all the time.
This leads to gameplay which is volatile and dynamic and also highly entertaining.
The original game featured a 5×3 grid but…
…the excitement is upped in the update to a whole 6×7. That leaves punters with the maximum possible 117,649 ways to win and an overall win potential of x10,000.
These aren’t the only changes…
…as the new title also comes equipped with Red Tiger’s proprietary promotion tools. Smart Spins and Daily Jackpots also grace the reels and increase the fun.
The extra spins have gotten an update too…
…as they are now determined by a prize wheel. This wheel appears once three scatters have appeared anyplace on the reels.
The wheel will determine the combination of spins and multipliers to be awarded. The maximum that punters will chase is a whole 22 spins with a gigantic 10x multiplier.
Another welcome addition are the mega wilds. These symbols featuring a pig in a top hat cover the entire reel and come with multipliers of their own. And they go all the way up to 7x.
Gavin Hamilton, CEO at the company, said:
“Following the popularity of Piggy Riches™, we are delighted to give it a further boost with the addition of our hugely popular marketing tools, as well as the Megaways™ mechanics.
“Our talented team has worked closely – and at break-neck speed with NetEnt – as well as Big Time Gaming, to deliver the best each of us has to offer. I’m particularly pleased with how quickly we have brought this to market.”
This release is the fruits of an acquisition of the studio by NetEnt late last year. In September of 2019 this hugely successful igaming provider decided to acquire the smaller studio.
The company has paid 220 million pounds in its first ever acquisition.
Since then the companies have been collaborating on releases like Piggy Riches Megaways.
Founded in 2014 by a group of industry experts, the company quickly built an amazing track record across Europe and Asia.
Known for their high-quality games and promotional tools, the developer has quickly garnered many industry rewards including Best Mobile Games Supplier at the EGR 2019 Rewards.
Operating across various regulated markets, the company has recently gone live with its full suite of slots on LottoGo.com.

I used to love Piggy Riches back in the day. Can’t wait to try out this new update especially since it comes with Megaways.
