Open casino platform and games provider, Relax Gaming, has struck a supply deal with Kindred, Europe’s leading gambling operator. This long-term agreement will see the supplier’s poker offerings integrated onto the operator’s gaming platform in .
Apart from launching its poker variants at the beginning of Q2, which are very popular in the region, Relax will also reveal its latest addition to the library – HexaPro.
Introduced in December, this edition allows its players to win up to 1,000 times their bet and it features only two opponents. The aggregator is convinced in instant success, and COO Martin Stalros, commented the following:
“We have gained success with this product in many of Kindred’s other markets already and I’m very excited with the opportunity to give even more players the chance to enjoy the Relax Gaming poker experience, with a foundation built to be fun, fair and exciting.”
Relax has ventured into several expansion deals lately, including a distribution deal with GiG in January, and Blue Ocean Gaming, one month earlier. By entering the French iGaming market, the company will enjoy a share of the country’s increased revenues from three verticals; has recently reported a 25 percent surge, upping its year-on-year growth to a staggering €1.2 billion.
CEO, Daniel Eskola, has also issued a statement on the studio’s latest decision:
“We remain committed to the continued delivery of superior quality products to Kindred, but we’re opening the door for product growth further down the line by adding more operators and jurisdictions as demand dictates.”
On the other hand, the market remains fragile, as horse racing betting proceeds, as well as for poker, remain marginal, L’Autorité de régulation des jeux en ligne (ARJEL) reports.
In addition, the country is also considering a revenue-based tax system on sports betting, instead of turnovers – this move could bring the entire landscape closer to the majority of regulated European jurisdictions.
In the meantime, Kindred has continued its dedication towards the expansion in the United States, as it signed a deal with Mohegan Sun Pocono in January – only a month after extending its services with Kambi in New Jersey.
The group has also taken significant steps towards creating a global online gambling platform with a cloud-native NewSQL database. By working closely with Cockroach Labs, the company will improve its resilience towards datacenter failures. Marcus Smedman, CTO commented:
“Kindred has thanks to the collaboration with Cockroach Labs once again raised the bar on technological advancement in the gambling sector. We are very excited to see this unique solution implemented on our platform and look forward to reaping the benefits in of improved customer experience, resilience and efficiency.”
It is important to mention, that multi-active datacenters are usually common in global cloud-based enterprises such as Google, Amazon, Netflix and so on.

This is a nice opportunity for the group to shine, since there aren’t that many good poker suppliers in the country.
