Resorts World Las Vegas Predicts 75% Non-Gaming Revenues Upon Launch

Resorts World Las Vegas is scheduled for summer 2021, but casino officials have already made some predictions regarding future revenues. The president of the Resort, Scott Sibella, believes that the future complex will have at least 75% of revenues coming from non-gaming content.

Sibella recently unveiled his expectations in the interview. He said:

“We’re forecasting that when we open this property, perhaps 75 percent of our revenue will be from the non-gaming side. You have to think differently and design differently because not everyone is going to want to gamble. It’s a different way of thinking than it was years ago.”

According to the initial projections, the total costs of the project were estimated at $4 billion. The current estimation shares that expected costs will stand at $4.3 billion. Resorts Las Vegas is going to become a world-class complex extending over 88 acres. Upon completion, the casino will contain 3500 hotel rooms and a 220,000 square-foot pool as well as 350,000 square-feet of meeting and banquet space.

Sibella added:

“It will have a lot of Asian inspiration when it comes to the design inside, art, the colour pallettes, and floors. Gaming facilities would feature a next-generation 110,000-square-foot [10,219 sq-meter] casino complete with slots, table games, high-limit gaming areas, private gaming salons, dedicated poker room, and a 14,000-sq-ft entertainment zone, which includes a race and sportsbook and featured live entertainment.”

Genting Group plans to utilize only two-thirds of the 88 acres while additional space will be utilized for “future development.”

Final Word

Resorts World will bring to the Genting enormous revenues thanks to staggering facilities like stores, banquet halls, and luxury hotel rooms. The most important thing for developers is making money and this complex will certainly bring much of it. It is still to be seen whether the complex will be completed by 2021. As a reminder, the first date for the resort to be finished was 2014, but construction didn’t start until 2017. If the developers are interested in driving additional income to the city, we could see Resorts World very soon.
