Scientific Games Appoints Three Former Aristocrat Executives To Gaming Division Roles

Matt Wilson has been named executive vice president and group chief executive of SG Gaming division.

Him, Siobhan Land and Connie James (appointed Scientific Gaming’s chief commercial officer and chief financial officer respectively) are all former Aristocrat executives who have ed their new company on January 6th.

The announcement of these appointments came yesterday…

…as Scientific Games greeted new arrivals, as well as bidding farewell to current gaming group chief executive, Derik Mooberry, that will step away from his position and into strategic advisory role.

Barry Cottle, SG’s president and CEO, said of these changes:

“We have assembled an impressive leadership team that will complement the existing leaders and talent in our business, further strengthening our great organization and enabling our future potential. We are committed to making great games and products players and partners love.”

He added that a strong team of ionate people is the basis for a good business and will solidify company’s position as the world leader in gaming.

Wilson’s and Moobery’s Track Record

Matt Wilson has worked in Aristocrat for 15 years, since 2004…

…where he started out as a graduate trainee before becoming the business president and managing director for the Americas in 2017. He left the company in August 2019.

Moobery will move to the advisory position, as Wilson enters his new role. He was chief executive of Gaming division from 2014 to 2018.

About Lane and James

With over 12 years of experience in the industry, Siobhan Lane ed Aristocrat in 2007 and became senior vice president for marketing and gaming operations in North America in 2017. Lane left this role in September 2019.

Connie James spent less than ten years at Aristocrat, where she ed as head of global risk and audit in 2009 and worked as chief financial officer from 2015 to 2018.

In May 2019, SG has hired Jamie Odell, former CEO of Aristocrat Leisure, as a special advisor of chairman and CEO.

Scientific Games has recently expanded their presence in Spain through a deal with 888.
