Scientific Games has added EQL Games as the newest partner to its SG Content Hub Partner Program, further expanding its iLottery offerings. EQL Games, based in Louisville, Kentucky, will now have its innovative and original games available to Scientific Games’ iLottery customers worldwide.
Brad Cummings, Founder & CEO of EQL Games USA, expressed his enthusiasm for the partnership: “EQL Games believes in ever-evolving content innovation to keep players entertained. We made the strategic decision to Scientific Games’ unique partner program to broaden lotteries’ access to our products and the products of the studios we represent. Great content is the key to helping create an even brighter future for the lottery industry in the U.S and abroad.”
Since 2023, EQL Games has been offering a diverse portfolio of digital gaming products, introducing new play experiences and mechanics that lotteries’ acquisition strategies. Their products include creations from EQL’s internal game studio and various other gaming and lottery studios globally.
Steve Hickson, VP of Digital Games for Scientific Games, welcomed EQL Games to the SG Content Hub Partner Program, highlighting the value of their inclusion: “We welcome EQL Games to the SG Content Hub Partner Program, broadening yet further the variety of engaging iLottery games and licensed brands available to our global customers and their players in a totally frictionless way.”
In addition to expanding its iLottery content, Scientific Games has been recognized with two 2024 Communitas Awards for its commitment to social and environmental responsibility. The company was honored in two categories: Ethical and Environmental Responsibility: Green Initiatives, and Company Community Service: Community Partnership.
The first award, for Green Initiatives, was given for Scientific Games’ new 92,000-square-foot National Logistics Centre for UK Scratchcards in Warrington. Opened in February, this state-of-the-art facility uses green building methods and is powered entirely by renewable energy. The site features energy-efficient lighting, electric-powered internal transportation, and EV chargers for electric vehicles. The facility also follows a zero-waste-to-landfill policy and uses Forest Stewardship Council-certified paper board for scratchcards.
The second award, for Community Partnership, recognized the urban farm on Scientific Games’ Montreal campus. Developed in collaboration with the local non-profit La Cuisine Collective Hochelaga-Maisonneuve, the farm provides fresh fruits and vegetables to the local community. Scientific Games ed the farm with fencing, funding for water and electricity, and a greenhouse. Employees volunteer their time to assist with planting, harvesting, and delivering produce to over 40 local collective kitchens and other organizations.
Pat McHugh, CEO of Scientific Games, emphasized the company’s commitment to ethical, environmental, and social responsibility: “It’s important to Scientific Games employees, our customers, and our leadership that we lead with ethical, environmental, and social responsibility. We are continually evaluating and improving our efforts to ensure we are doing our part to protect the planet and give back to the communities where we do business.”
