Apart from the company’s classic gaming platform with legendary arcades such as Sonic the Hedgehog, Virtua Fighter, Phantasy Star, Yakuza, and Total War, there is a considerable database of slot titles, developed in partnership with Fox Club Games. SEGA has produced over 500 titles in 70 different genres since 1981, and remained a leading software company until it launched Dreamcast in 1998, the brand’s last console system. After failing to compete with Sony’s Playstation and various Nintendo gadgets, the video game developer started manufacturing third party software.
However, the company continued to expand and acquired numerous renowned game studios over the years, including Sports Interactive, Secret Level and Relic Entertainment. In 2009, the manufacturer developed a mobile games division in San Francisco and began transferring its classic console titles to smartphones and tablets in co-operation with Hardlight Studio (EU), Demiurge and Ignited Artists (US).
SEGA slots are extremely playable due to their huge payouts, stunning graphics and sensational audio effects which represent a unique generation of five-reel games with 8x multipliers, powerful wild features and big wins! By going back to the roots and recreating some of their masterpieces, we can expect a mighty comeback from these gaming pioneers and a whole new range of progressive slot machines.
