The Forces of Evil Collide in Beetlejuice Megaways – The New Blueprint Slot
In 1988, Tim Burton’s Beetlejuice movie graced our screens and has been a tremendous hit ever-since. Betelgeuse (aka Beetlejuice) is a trickster ghost with one hell of a personality. Call him a pervert, call him crude, but everyone who needs help, needs to go through him and this is what he thrives on.
Pulling pranks to scare both spirits and humans out of their skin is what he does best…
…and it somehow masks the hidden fear within his deathly soul. His only goal is to shake the curse which was placed upon him and this is done through marriage.
Who the hell in their right mind would marry a spirit who revels in sexual harassment? Nobody and that is why he has lived with the curse for hundreds of years. Despite the movie 90-minute being called Beetlejuice, the main character only has about 17-minutes airtime – not even the actors could stomach him.
Lydia, the girl who moves into the home of Barbara and Adam, the married couple who had just recently departed the land of the living and they’re not exactly thrilled. They want their home back and call on the help of the trickster. He has his own plans though.
Throughout the movie, the dark souled Lydia engages with the spirits walking among the living and befriends them, to a point where she almost ends up becoming the trickster wife! Adam, Barbara and the sandworm put a stop to that though.

It’s Dead Good
What better way of bringing the fun-filled, creepy antics back to our screens than on the reels of a slot machine? And Blueprint Gaming have done just that on a 5-reel, 248,832 reel engine. They must be huge fans of the original movie what with capturing the very best elements of the movie with an iconic soundtrack and impressive bonuses.
Before I go any further, I should mention this title is not to be confused with WMS’ land-based slot machine. Unlike traditional Megaways slots, this one makes use of a lower and an upper section, where a single win will reveal even more ways to win above.
In the movie, you say his name three times…
…and he appears like the plague. In this video slot, you only need to see a trio of his logos and you’ll enter a world of endless winning possibilities. Bonus spins with an increasing multiplier could see you winning as much as £250K – now that’s staggering!
Players can make use of cascading symbols, transforming symbols (keep your eyes peeled for the ghostly shroud) and wilds. The deathly star of the show is the highest paying symbol with Lydia coming in a close second. The long-necked guy, gothic fairy and shrunken head man also appear on the reels to add more entrainment value!
Bets will set you back between 10p and a high roller £500 a spin. Accessible on instant play interface, the new Beetlejuice Megaways slot is predicted to be a huge hit. What do you think?
