Online Casino content supplier, SYNOT Games, has obtained two new licenses over the past few days and the licenses will enable the provider to enter two new regulated markets. The company announced that it will be entering the markets in Denmark and Portugal.
SYNOT has recently been granted a license by the Danish Gambling Authority and they will be placing their gaming titles in the Scandinavian country through existing and new operators.
The supplier has headquarters in Malta and besides having a license from the local Gaming Authority, the company holds licenses from other competent regulators in a number of regulated markets across Europe, including Spain, Italy, the United Kingdom and Sweden. The provider’s offering consists of 40 games, all available in 24 languages. These 40 titles have been made available in over 70 casinos.
Ivan Kodaj, CEO, spoke on behalf of the brand, saying they were happy about strengthening their market position in Scandinavia and that they are happy about the potential that the Danish soaring market holds.
“We are excited to add another flag on our success map,” commented Kodaj.
The news about the provider’s expansion to the Danish market came shortly after the company announced that it would expand to certain European markets with the recent integration of its content into the operations of online gambling brands NetBet and 777. This integration was powered by iSoftBet’s Game Aggregation Platform and saw SYNOT’s games first go live on NetBet’s website and 777’s Belgian website…
…this partnership between SYNOT and the operators includes the provider going live in Romania, Spain and other regulated markets with the two brands.
On Wednesday, the provider said that it received a license from Portugal’s online gambling regulator, SRIJ. This means that the provider is clear to launch its content into the Portuguese market with some of its leading operators.
The news about the provider’s certification in Portugal could not have come at a more opportune time, since the company announced that it is gearing up for further expansions across Southern European markets in the coming weeks and months.
Kodaj added: “Portugal is another significant destination for SYNOT Games and marks our entry to the Iberian Peninsula. The certification underlines our commitment to further focus on expansion in regulated markets. We believe that our diverse portfolio will prove to be highly popular among Portuguese players.”
The nation’s regulated market set some records in the first quarter of 2019, soaring to record heights, according to the latest revenue figures released by SRIJ. Operators doing business locally generated revenue amounting to €47.3 million during the first three months to March 31. This has been the best quarter for the Portugal’s online gambling market May 2016.
The increase in total revenue from the same quarter a year ago is 43.8%. Sports betting rose 42.5%, amounting to €24.8 million and the revenue from online casino games, including online poker, rose nearly 46% to €22.6 million.
