Trevor Croker Appointed New Chairman of American Gaming Association

Trevor Croker, the former Aristocrat Leisure executive and managing director, has been named the new chairman of American Gaming Association (AGA). Croker has been a member of the AGA board since 2017, when he took on the role of Aristocrat chief executive.

He will replace the former chair, Tim Wilmott. Wilmott, the CEO and president of Penn National Gaming, was at the helm of this organization since 2018.

Continuation of Progress Made

Before becoming Aristocrat Leisure’s CEO…

…Croker held a variety of positions in this company.

In his first statement after being named AGA chairman, Croker said:

“It’s a great privilege to lead the AGA during a time of great growth and change in the gaming industry. I look forward to continuing the progress made under Tim’s leadership to modernize the industry and make responsible gaming a signature priority.”

Chief Executive and President of AGA, Bill Miller, welcomed Croker by saying that he brought with him an invaluable insight from supplier , as well as a new perspective on taking the industry into the next generation of gaming.

He also spared a few words for the departing Wilmott, who will also retire from Penn at the end of this year. His successor will be Jay Snowden, Chief Operating Officer.

“Tim led the AGA during a dynamic period for the industry and provided a steady hand throughout the association’s own evolution. The entire gaming industry benefited from his leadership, and I’m personally grateful for his continued and wise counsel.”

CSR Efforts Praised

American Gaming Association has praised the corporate social responsibility efforts throughout the entire US casino industry.

In 2017, the sector donated $367 million to charity causes fighting social irresponsibility in gambling…

…which was revealed in a research conducted by AGA in cooperation with US Chamber of Commerce Foundation Corporate Citizenship Centre.

15 AGA’s have taken part in the survey and were interviewed as part of the research. The US gambling sector consists of 168 casinos, 235,000 US employees and makes around $33 billion in revenue.
