Bonanza Casino
Located at 855 West Williams Ave. in Fallon, NV, Bonanza Casino (not to be confused with the one in Reno, Nevada) is a popular spot amongst Fallon locals and visitors to the small city.
This is a small casino with the gaming floor consisting of only 5,400 square feet and is home to about 200 Video Poker games, please let us know!
They are also home to a small sportsbook.
The casino seems to have a Facebook page that is updated sporadically, other than that, their only online presence is in the form of this Super 8 page, as the property’s hotel is a franchised Super 8 location. We will list the hotel along with this casino as it is directly on the property.
The property offers wireless internet access as well as a continental breakfast to its guests. In addition to the casino, the property is home to a small American restaurant called JD Slinger’s, which serves breakfast, lunch and dinner at low prices most hours of the day. For those of you traveling to the Fallon area by RV, this Super 8 also has parking available for you.
Rates on standard rooms seem to be in the area of $70-$90 per night most nights of the year, but sometimes a special event may push demand up such that some nights will be more than that, but that’s generally what you can expect.
There’s really not much else to say about this casino as the property is mostly a draw for locals, but might be somewhere to consider staying if you’re ing through that part of the state or visiting friends/family in the Fallon area.
Churchill Springs Casino
Sometimes listed as, “Churchill Station Casino,” when we called the property they answered as, “Churchill Springs.” The casino floor comes in at a small 1,900 square feet of gambling space and there is no hotel associated with this property. It is located at 2015 West Williams Avenue.
This is mainly a small hangout for Fallon residences and really won’t tend to draw anyone else to the property. There are no Table Games and are something in the order of 103 combined slot, video poker and video keno machines. Again, we could find no strong Video Poker paytables listed for them on VPFree2, but it’s just as possible that nobody who reports to that site has ever been there, so we wouldn’t necessarily be inclined to assume that they don’t have any decent paytables.
There’s no restaurant at this property, though there is a snack bar that has a few things available. Basically, this property is essentially just a large version of a Dotty’s.
That’s it for this one, pretty much just a slotbox that caters to Fallon locals.
Depot Casino and Diner
The Depot Casino and Diner is a small combination restaurant/casino that is located at 875 West Williams Avenue in Fallon, Nevada.
The interior of this establishment is kind of a sports bar meets Old West aesthetic and the restaurant seating and bar are kind of off on one side with the bulk of the gambling devices on the other.
According to their website, Depot Casino (hence the name) is located in the train depot where Butch Cassidy and his posse went through for the last time, so that’s at least a neat little piece of history associated with the property.
The depot itself was twice moved to a different area. After being shut down for about twenty years, the depot was first moved to Kaiser Street in the early 1980’s and turned into a bar and restaurant, sans casino. In 1987, the depot would be again relocated to its current West Williams Street location and turned into a casino and restaurant, then and now owned by David Widmer and Ralph Mills.
The property actually has a bigger slot floor than you might imagine, with around 240 slot, video poker and video keno games available. Again, this one is not listed for Video Poker on VPFree2, but it’s just as likely that nobody who reports to that site has ever played in Fallon. Please let them and us know if you happen to be around there and find any decent paytables!
Additionally, Depot Casino is home to the only Bingo Room in Fallon, which apparently stays busy enough to offer sessions four evenings per week. It is located on the second floor of the establishment.
A popular dining spot for locals and what visitors Fallon gets, Depot Diner is open at 7:00 a.m. seven days per week and stays open until the late evening hours, serving breakfast, lunch and dinner. It’s very much a classic American food restaurant with prices that are similar to those of chain diners, good place to check out if you find yourself in Fallon.
That does it for the Depot Casino, which is definitely the place in Fallon to go if you’re looking for a Bingo game. As with anything else, this is mostly going to appeal to Fallon locals, but if you happen to be staying in the Fallon area for some reason, this is a fun place to stop in, play a little, get to know a little of the town’s history and meet some friendly people from the area.
Fallon Nugget Casino
It gets a little bit hard to keep track with so many casinos that have the word, “Nugget,” in the name, but the Fallon Nugget casino is Fallon’s Nugget, and hopefully you will make a nugget, if you visit this location at 70 South Maine Street in Fallon, NV.
The property is home to about sixty total slot, video poker and video keno machines. There are no paytables listed on VPFree2, but it occurs to us that probably nobody who reports to that site has ever been to Fallon. We might just have to get out there and check out the Video Poker for ourselves one day, but if you happen to be around there and can let us know if there’s anything good, we would appreciate it.
The Fallon Nugget is also home to a Blackjack table as well as a few Poker Tables that deal Texas Hold ‘Em. There’s also sportsbook services available at the property’s bar.
The property is home to a small American restaurant, cheaply priced, called Aniceta’s Good Food. It seems to get pretty good reviews, so you might want to check that one out if you’re in town.
The property has no hotel, so that about does it for the Fallon Nugget, which again, is just a locals place in Fallon and could be a fun place to check out if you’re in town and want to meet some locals.
Headquarters Bar and Casino
Headquarters Bar and Casino does what it says on the box—it’s a bar and casino located at 134 South Maine Street in Fallon. There are eighteen total machines here and not much else. It’s basically just a locals hangout.
We normally wouldn’t list a place with so few machines, but we stumbled across it when we were looking for information on Fallon Nugget, so we decided we might as well throw it on here.
Stockman’s Casino Fallon
Finally, 1560 West Williams Avenue in Fallon, Nevada is home to a Stockman’s Casino location. This is something of a two-part establishment with one side of the property being a well-lit American diner while the other side of Stockman’s is a little dimmer and more resembling a casino floor. Interestingly, if you look at it from a certain angle, it actually looks like a large casino for just a split second.
Believe it or not, the casino is not THAT small and is actually home to 10,000 square feet of total gaming space, which is much bigger than some of the other casino floors in Fallon.
The casino floor features a total of about 230 slot, video poker and video keno machines. It does not appear to be listed on VPFree2 as having any good Video Poker paytables, but again, we think it’s pretty likely that nobody who reports to that site has actually been to Fallon.
In addition to the slot machines, the property is home to a small race and sportsbook and, while there aren’t any physical tables, does have electronic Blackjack, Roulette if you want to get your fix on those games.
The property is home to two eateries, with the casual American dining spot being Stockman’s Cafe, which serves breakfast, lunch and dinner at a low price from 8:00a-8:00p.
The other eatery is Three Sisters Steakhouse, with reservations, “Required,” and it is open for dinner service Thursday-Saturday evenings.
Once again, there is no hotel on the property, but it would be a fun place to stop in and meet some locals if you happen to be in the Fallon area. By default, it also has one of the best steakhouses in Fallon, so it would be a good place to make a reservation if you are in town for a few nights and want to enjoy something in the order of fine dining.
Overall, Fallon is a fun little town with plenty of history and outdoor activities, which should be of interest to those of you traveling through the state of Nevada (or on that side of the country) by car or RV. The residents and casino staff are all very friendly and it’s a fun place to hang out and maybe even spend a night or two.
