William Hill and Penn International Expand Sportsbook Partnership

Nevada’s M Resort Spa Casino has received its own sportsbook operator – it will be the world-renowned operator, William Hill, who has signed an expansion of partnership with their long-standing client, Penn National Gaming that operates the casino.

The venue, located just outside USA’s biggest gambling hub, Las Vegas, in Henderson, will receive the UK-brand’s betting technology necessary for smooth running of racebook and sportsbook.

Take-Off in May

The g of this agreement is the continuation of the previously announced Nevada expansion that is one of their main priorities this year…

…after securing the Golden Entertainment deal of identical ilk – that will see them run sports betting services for this major company’s chain of casinos – William Hill’s M Resort sportsbook should go live in May, according to both parties’ estimates.

Wagering won’t be restricted to just in-person betting in Penn’s land-based properties…

…as players will also gain access to WH’s mobile sports betting app and live InPlay wagering menu.

115 and Counting

This would be William Hill’s 115th Nevada sportsbook since they received the necessary regulator approval for rolling-out these services.

The company’s chief executive of the US branch, Joe Asher, says he is excited that William Hill expanded their partnership with friends at Penn National to operate a sportsbook at this venue, and added:

“It is a fabulous property, serving the Henderson and Southern Highlands areas, as well as guests from out of town, and we look forward to bringing our market-leading product to these customers.”

Ruling Sports Market by Design

Penn National’s senior vice-president of regional operations, Ameet Patel, said:

“We are delighted to be teaming up with William Hill at M Resort. We have an active sports book at M Resort and we think our guests will benefit greatly from William Hill’s expertise.”

The teaming up of William Hill and Penn National occurred in August of last year with one sole idea behind it…

…to form an alliance capable of ruling the sports betting market in the US, which got liberated after last May’s US Supreme Court ruling.

Their cooperation expands far beyond just Nevada – the two are working alongside each other on sportsbooks in Mississippi, Pennsylvania and West Virginia.

WH’s Plans Remain the Same

Despite last year’s massive net loss, Hill vows to remain on track for their original objective of doubling profits by year 2023.

The company’s long-term strategy has identified key areas to focus on in the coming period: UK’s digital growth and retail remodeling and business growth in US.

Philip Bowcock, the brand’s CEO, said:

“We have started delivering on our strategy with the expansion of our US business, being first out of the blocks in all states that have regulated sports betting, and with the acquisition of Mr Green, which will the build-out of our international digital business.”
