William Hill US Appoints New Marketing Chief

One of the world-famous bookmakers, US branch of this successful company has just named their brand new Chief Marketing Officer by appointing Sharon Otterman on this vacant and important role within the firm.

Experience

Otterman, previously the chief marketing officer and executive vice-president of Madison Square Garden Company as well as vice-president of US sports TV network ESPN, commented on this occasion…

“As a huge sports fan and sports marketer, I am so excited to tap into the pent up consumer demand in the US, with a brand that fans trust. My goal is to continue the great work that has been done in Nevada to let fans fans know the William Hill brand across the US. As more and more states allow sports wagering, I see a new industry having positive impacts: sports TV ratings increasing, sports ticket sales increasing and sports betting overall becoming more mainstream.”

She added that the moment is good, because the popularity of sports betting “has never been higher” and that she will be serving the expanding engaged customer base in what is the international leader in the industry.

William Hill US CEO Joe Asher welcomed Otterman by saying: “Sharon is a proven leader and we are thrilled that we could pull her away from one of the most high-profile jobs in sports marketing to William Hill.”

Relocating to Malta

In recent months, William Hill has gone up and down with a rollercoaster of good and bad news, during this busy period of US sports betting regulations nation-wide. In the wake of impending Brexit, the company is considering its relocation to Malta and has already secured the sportsbook business at Ocean Resort Casino in Atlantic City.

Sadly, the company is under the investigation for failing to protect vulnerable players and they even found the time to sponsor the up-and-coming US soccer team, Las Vegas Lights.
