Wynn Macau Prepares ‘Special Allowance’ for Wynn Macau and Wynn Palace Team

According to the Chinese state media report, Wynn Macau’s name has been used in a recent scam which brought perpetrators up to $8 million. Reacting on the fraud, Macau officials have alerted the public to pay attention to possible problems.
The recent fraud has been perfectly planned. The scammers issued a notice that the new online casino platform is seeking investors to take part in the project. To collect sufficient funds in the recent hustle, culprits claimed that Wynn Macau participates in the same project. It resulted in the higher interest of the public and more than 200 people invested their money in the scam. From this malversation, fraudsters took about $7.9 million in funds.
The venue has issued a notification regarding the latest incident. Wynn Macau spokesman said:
“We are highly concerned by this recently reported incident and we have been liaising with the Macau Gaming Inspection and Coordination Bureau accordingly.”
He added:
“Wynn Macau does not engage in any online investment or gaming sites. We encourage the public to be extremely wary of any sites claiming to have a connection with Wynn.”
At the moment, Macau is known for harsh guidelines regarding online gambling. This activity is limited all around the city as well as in the broader region. Casinos exclude online gambling from the offer, keeping only sports wagering and horse racing opportunities.
Macau officials didn’t unveil more details on the latest scam. It is only known that 200 people from 10 local provinces were affected. All of them were victims of the app fraud promising quick and high returns for investors. As a result, cheaters had achieved to collect about $8 million before the fraud was detected.
The recent incident is just another scandal on China ground. The country has already recorded similar situations with potential investors. As part of all these incidents, scammers inside or outside the state offer people the chance to invest enormous amounts of money in online casino operations. Investors are generally lured by these ideas, giving the fact that Macau doesn’t allow online gambling operations. Additionally, scammers utilize the names of huge casino venues to make the idea more attractive. As a result, investors believe in the legitimacy of the project and choose to the idea.
Regarding the previous Wynn scam, officials didn’t make any arrests. Local officials didn’t even unveil where the incident occurred – outside of China Mainland. However, the cheating app has already been shut down and people can remain calm regarding personal safety.
