Northern Winz general manager, Raymond Parker, remarks that their new partner was the only one they found competent enough to “quickly customize an indigenous game offering for tribal casino operators.”

“Newgioco’s management team worked closely with our representatives for several months and demonstrated a considerable shared-vision to help our council fully understand the unique aspects and risks of this new business line for our community,” he added.

A Not So Long, But a Successful Road

The small western state’s history of pursuing sports betting is not very lengthy…

…in fact, the progress it’s made has been rapid. The original proposal of three bills dates back to February of this year when state lawmakers were still unsure if they were going to create separate bills or unite them all into a single one.

They opted, however, for the latter and now the Senate is faced with the choice of:

• SB330 – Montana Sports Betting Act – which aims to legalize land-based and online betting (with a provision of players being ed in-person)
• HB725 – Sports Wagering Lottery Amendment Act of 2019 – which aims the same, with Montana Lottery being the only provider.
• HB475 – looks to legalize pari-mutuel wagering in Montana.
